I am the owner and founder of
Miss Bubbly. I'm so glad you're here! Sit down and relax (if you're not already!) and let me tell you how Miss Bubbly was born!
It All Started With Bees!
Back in the fall of 2014, I felt lead by the Lord to be a beekeeper. Since one generally gets bees in the spring, I had time to learn all about bees and honey. (BTW, bees are so fascinating!) As I was reading, I learned that honey is not only good to take orally, it is also great for your skin (it's a natural humectant). Then I read about putting honey in handmade soap, then I started reading about soapmaking, it sounded really fun - I've always loved to make things: I sew, crochet, macrame, quilt, craft, polymer clay and make giant messes! So I started studying how to make soap. As I was learning, I felt that the Lord was telling me that I was going to do this as my job - so, I knew even before I made soap that I would have a soap making business!
Once I started using my handcrafted soaps, I noticed that my skin wasn't as dry and flaky as it always has been - I was so excited! I had given up on bar soaps many years ago because it dried out my skin and left a film on it, so I generally used body wash, but all that sulfate stuff was just awful for my naturally dry skin. I was stoked! Not only did I create a product that was useful and beautiful, it also solved my life-long issue of over-stripped skin!
I am so grateful that I get to make products that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but are also better for you and better for the environment.
